What do I know?
Outside of LBK Designs, my most recent experience includes managing several large-scale consumer websites for MedStar Health, a regional healthcare organization. During my three-plus years at the company, I led new website design initiatives from start to finish, including Photoshop original composition, connection with development team for technical build-out, and quality assurance and testing. (I realize that all sounds kind of boring, but I actually loved this job!)
Before joining MedStar, I came from the print design world, where I was a graphic designer at a boutique ad agency. There, I designed and wrote advertisements, brochures, newsletters and various other marketing collateral for clients, whose industries ranged from retail to religious. Prior to my work at the agency, I spent two years at T. Rowe Price in a fast-paced production environment, doing design and quality control of 75+-page marketing kits used to communicate with multi-million dollar customers.
I taught continuing education classes in web design and development at The Community College of Baltimore County in 2010 and 2011 (before I got super busy with work and babies and had to give this up).
I earned my master’s degree in publication design from the University of Baltimore, and my bachelor’s in mass communications with a certificate in marketing from Towson University. I also won Most Likely to Have Her Own Design Business in high school. (Okay, okay, that last one isn’t true, but wouldn’t that be something?)
